Baby #2: 36 Weeks Pregnant.. Laying Low!

36 weeks pregnant, 36 weeks, 36 weeks pregnant baby low

HOW am I 37 weeks pregnant with my second child on Monday?! Where has time gone?!! It feels amazing to be approaching the end now, as I cannot wait to finally meet my little boy after feeling him move around and wriggle for months now. But at the same time, I'm also sad that this pregnancy is coming to an end - being pregnant is a tough but truly magical time and just as I was when pregnant with Ethan, I will be sad to wave goodbye to this pregnant stage of my life.

I do however, secretly keep hoping that baby will come early, as I cannot contain my excitement and I'm so ready for newborn cuddles and for my family of three to turn into a family of four. I can't wait to see what baby looks like and how Ethan will react to him. I can't wait to find out what it feels like to be a Mum of two and to see Adam as a Dad of two. I know he'll be amazing, he's such a wonderful person, Husband and Father. I've been feeling so lucky and grateful lately - I've really never felt happier.

I can feel baby laying really low, sometimes it almost feels like he's between my legs! He's been having many bouts of hiccups lately too - sometimes multiple times a day! My midwife says this is where he's practicing breathing and taking in amniotic fluid. This week I looked back on my pregnancy updates with Ethan and I feel like I'm getting more of the symptoms that I had later with Ethan sooner with this baby. I have a feeling he may be lighter than Ethan was and I kind of think he will make an earlier appearance too. Though it's impossible to tell and perhaps that's just my excited wishful thinking!

It's been lovely to have a little energy back this week. I've honestly felt so exhausted through pretty much the entire pregnancy this time around and it was starting to get me quite down. But I've had a few days of feeling a lot less tired this week and I can't tell you how good it's felt!

I've started maternity leave now, I'll be off for around nine months or maybe a year, I'm not sure yet. I don't have any solid plans, we'll just have to see how things go. I've packed my hospital bag, or as much of it as I can right now and I will be sharing a look at what's inside via a video over on my channel hopefully some time next week.

  2. What a lovely bump :) I'm envious, I loved being pregnant, like you said, it's magical :) I actually really enjoyed labour too - just knowing we were going to meet him at any minute, then that awesome pride you feel when they wheel you and your baby through the hospital from the delivery ward to the maternity ward :)

I hope he comes early for you too! Induction sucks!
