Something For Me!

Happy Friday everyone. I hope you are looking forward to the weekend. I think tomorrow Adam and I are going to try and just be 'off' asides from Adam probably building Ethan's new bed big boy bed, we just want to spend some time together as a family tomorrow. As you'll know from my loft conversion update post, it's been rather manic here and the boys have both had chicken pox. So we want to just stop for a day and also enjoy the fact that we can all leave the house now that Logan's spots have all cleared up.

On Thursday my new camera came! I'd wanted a new DSLR for a while as I love taking photographs, but my DSLR was old and it didn't really like the settings I used to make my photos brighter. I knew it was bad timing financially with the conversion, but as I use my camera everyday for my blog and my blog is now my income, it made sense to invest. I'm excited to start taking photos of the boys and also use it when we go to the Lake District next week. Which reminds me.. I really need to start packing..!!

Today I published a new video over on my YouTube channel, it's all about what I do in my me time (when I get it). It's not always easy to catch time to yourself as a Mum, especially when you're a mum to a 3 year old and a 10 month old, but I've shared a few of the little things I do from time to time to give myself a chance to breathe.

Over the next week things are going to be busy with us continuing to sort out the rooms in our house , packing for our holiday, being Mummy and Daddy to two littles and rounding up work things before we are away for a week. I'm going to try my best to stay active on my social accounts and I'll also have my Me and Mine post for May still going up. We took our photo on our bed in our new conversion space as it felt like a nice way to sum up our month with the completion of the building work.

If you'd like to have a watch of my me time video you can find it here:

I hope you have a lovely weekend! x
Follow Me:

  1. I have camera envy! I still have my first DSLR, an entry level Canon, and at some point would like to upgrade. One day soon hopefully! x

  2. Lovely video, Alex! I think me time is so important, as you know I have two girls, I'm also a single parent which at times is hard but we have a good routine so I think that's very important. The girls spend time with their Dad's and are also at nursery and school in the week so I do get time for myself. I that time I love to exercise! I recently stopped going to the gym and joined an outdoor training group in Bushy Park and I love it so keeping fit is one thing I love. I also get time at the weekends to catch up for lunch with my friends which is also really important to me, Id go insane without my friends lol Getting to offload about any stress to a friend is always a good thing! I'm also very close to my family and the girls get to spend time with my Mum and her husband which they love, Abi sometimes has a weekend sleepover at my Mum's which she loves or we spend the day there where I do get to chill out! In the evenings I like to catch up on social media, or have a bath and catch up on little beauty bits.
Look forward to your next video!!xxx
