What the Parenting Manuals Don’t Tell You & Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment

Parenthood can turn your life upside down, in the best ways but also in some particularly tough and challenging ways. If you haven't already seen it, Bepanthen have developed a truly brilliant e-book which captures some of the essence of what is it to be a parent to a new baby perfectly. It's called What The Parenting Manuals Don't Tell You and it's in collaboration with Lisa Clegg who is a maternity nurse and Mum of three of herself, it features tips crowd-sourced from real parents via social media and makes for a great read no matter what number of children you might have.

Whilst reading through it I smiled, I laughed and I nodded along. Why I never thought of using a muslin under my babies head in the moses basket to make things a hell of a lot easier when they were sick I don't know! The e-book is free to download and so worth a read, if you haven't yet seen it.

On the subject of Bepanthen, I've been using their Nappy Care Ointment a lot recently with Logan after they sent me a few tubes to try a little while ago. Logan was having a bit of nappy rash for a few days a week or so ago and after using the Bepanthen on him, it cleared it up pretty much straight away, which I was really impressed with.

I actually prefer the fact that it comes in a tube too - it's much easier to use when I'm changing my very wriggly little man. Logan has this thing where he just doesn't want to lay still for a nappy change pretty much ever, which is OK when it's just a quick change, but when it's not, it is a little bit of a nightmare. Does anyone else have a baby like that?

I have carried on using the Bepanthen, especially at bedtime, I figured that since that's the time of day when he's wearing his nappy for the longest it makes sense to put it on at his last nappy change. I have to say, I am more cautious of what I use on Logan's skin than I was Ethan's. Logan seems to have quite sensitive skin and it puts me off using certain products, but as Bepanthen contains no fragrance, preservatives, or anything else like that I've always felt confident using it and it's been great on his skin so far.

If you would like to, you can find and have a read through of the the free 'What The Parenting Manuals Don't Tell You' e-book from Bepanthen via this link.

This blog post in association with Bepanthen, however as always all thoughts are entirely my own. Visit bepanthen.co.uk to find out more.
