Beautiful home accessories

I love to make my home feel like a proper lived in family home with the help of beautiful things. I 'm a big fan of the modern look and items like the ones available from www.lampcommerce.com are right up my street but I'm also starting to creep into becoming a bit of a fan of the shabby chic look. It's a very girly style, so getting Adam to like it as much as I do, is a bit of a slow process, but I'll get there I'm sure. :)

I'd wanted to spruce up our bedroom a little to make it a tad more 'prettier' and yesterday I discovered and purchased some of the most adorable items for doing so whilst browsing around in Dunelm Mill.

I'd love for you to have a little look and tell me what you think. Do you have anything similar?

I'm loving the colour white at the moment for furniture and accessories (it's my favourite colour!) and I'm slowly finding myself steering over to a vintage type style rather than sticking exclusively with ultra modern, so these adorable heart shaped mini set of drawers for small trinkets and such was exactly what I was looking for and cost me £9.99.

I was on the hunt for a pretty looking candle holder for use in the background of my blog photos and this one is perfect and cost under a fiver.

I picked out a pale silvery coloured canvas with butterflies on which was on sale for just £3.50 - I think it was an absolute bargain!

This was one of those little things that just add another little 'homely' touch and it was priced at just under £5! Dunelm Mill is fantastic for these kind of items, there is just so much to choose from.

Adam and I have a brand new mug each. His is on the right of the photo. I love anything owl at the moment, I don't know what it is about them. I just think that owl themed products are adorable and really stand out. These mugs are both huge, but not by too much meaning they are the perfect size for a morning (or evening) brew.

I couldn't resist this beautiful white basket with rose patterned fabric inside of it which now lives on my dressing table. It really does make a huge difference to the look of my dressing table. It's one of those items thats just catches your eye as you walk past, because it's so pretty. I wish I'd got a couple more now.

These two lovely items are going to be the perfect accessories for featuring behind products in my future blog photos. I love white backgrounds on photos, so white accessories like these are the perfect addition!

What do you think to my new home accessories? Where's your favourite place to shop for home bits and bobs?
