We've visited Paulton's Park in Romsey several times now and each visit has been just as exciting as the last! We initially started visiting Paultons Park for Peppa Pig World when our boys were younger and Peppa ruled their world but we've found that even as they've grown and their interests have changed Paulton's Park is still one of our favourite places for a family day out in the UK because there's so much to see and do to suit all of the family, no matter the ages!
Paultons Park has been voted as the number one theme park in the UK on TripAdvisor and as somebody that has visited with her children many times I can see why! The park itself is very well maintained and the theming and little touches all around are brilliant, from the life-like animatronic dinosaurs in the Lost Kingdom to the cleverly shaped bushes all around the park and all of the attention to detail given in zones like Peppa Pig World and Critter Creek. The park is kept to a really high standard.
Paultons has a wide variety of fun children's rides, family rides and thrill rides to enjoy including roller coasters, water rides, a 4D Cinema and more. The most popular part of the park is usually Peppa Pig World (which is why we always visit that part of the park last) and then next is the Lost Kingdom which is where all of the dinosaurs are as well as two super fun rollercoasters, Jurassic themed family rides, a dinosaur adventure play park and also the opportunity to meet their walking animatronic dinosaur.
The park has over 70 exciting rides and attractions and the day goes super fast so it's best to get there as soon as you can and plan to stay all day. In Peppa Pig World you can find 9 fun Peppa themed rides as well give your little ones the chance to meet Peppa & George and have their photo taken with then. There's also a large indoor soft play zone which is great for when you want to sit down indoors for a bit and let your children go and have some fun. There are even some animals and birds at Paultons Park and you can catch penguin feeding and a meerkat talk and feeding most days.
On hot days don't forget to bring a towel and swim shorts or a costume for your children as there's a pretty epic splash park at Paultons too - it's huge and features water jets, giant tipping buckets, fountains, super soakers and more!
There are great outdoor play areas for the kids to run wild on and even a sandy area for them to dig in. They also have a bouncy castle and trampolines for children to jump about on.
Before you go I'd advise downloading the official Paultons Park app as it lets you check queue times and also times for the shows. You can also plan out your day on the app, order food from the Railroad Diner in advance, use the interactive map and find exclusive offers for the park.
In terms of food, there are several places you can order something to eat from all over the park and you can also purchase drinks and ice creams. We have found that it can be quite expensive so it's worth bearing that in mind and potentially bringing in a picnic to save on the £s.
You can hire single or double strollers at the park to save tired little legs but they are suitable for children who can support themselves and not infants. The cost for a single stroller for the day is £8 and for a double it is £12. It is best to book these online as strollers are limited.
You can also purchase Photo Pass online before you go for £25 and that entitles you to 4 photography items from their photo kiosks including photos, keyrings and magnets. You will also receive your photos as digital downloads.
Overall, Paultons Park is somewhere the entire family can have a great day out together. We have always come home from Paultons having made so many wonderful family memories and always excited about our next visit!

Paultons Park will be opening a new section to their park in May 2020 called Tornado Springs which will be themed around a desert resort town. We absolutely cannot wait to come back and experience it!
