Christmas Gift Ideas For Children Aged 2-5

kids gift ideas, kids christmas gift ideas, present ideas for a 2 year old, present idea for for 4 year old

Following on from my 'Christmas Gift Ideas For Her' blog post, today I will be sharing some of my favourite ideas for children. I have two little boys aged two and four so a lot of the things here are suitable for them, but actually looking through the things I've chosen a lot would probably suit children a little older too. I hope you like the products I've included, I've tried to include links to things where I can.

flyte scooter suitcase

The first thing on my children's gift ideas list is this very awesome Zinc Flyte scooter cabin sized suitcase (£59.99). Yes, that's right - a suitcase for your little one that also turns into a scooter! I'd never seen these before myself until now and I just love the idea - it's so fun! It's brilliant for overnight stays at the Grandparents house as well as a suitcase for travel essentials that can be placed in overhead compartments on the plane. It has plenty of room inside and can come in different designs (this is the H20 design) as well as different sizes depending on your child's age. Visit www.zincflyte.com for more.

spider man hero rider

This Spider-Man Hero Rider from Toy State £19.99 is something that my eldest little boy picked up in the shop the other day and asked for it for Christmas, so I know he will love it. It looks super cool and has got driving action, lights, sounds and motorised drive and is available at Toys R Us.

orchard toys cheeky monkeys

We are huge fans of Orchard Toys in our house, we always enjoy their children's games as they're always fun and educational, as well as easy to play and to understand. And they're always the sort that the whole family can join in with and enjoy. This Cheeky Monkeys game (£9.50) is a counting and strategy game that comes with a 3D tree for the monkeys to hang on. I just know that Ethan will enjoy this!

You might have seen the gorgeous ladies beanie hat from Barts that I shared in my Christmas gift ideas post for her, well this is an equally gorgeous Bart's boy's beanie hat from tiso.com that is perfect for this time of year! I love the colours and the warm chunky-knit as well as the pom-pom on top! Kids always looks so cute in hats with pom-pom's on don't they?!

Everyone loves The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and I think this Very Hungry Caterpillar Mug, Plate & Bowl Set (£19.99) from Portmeirion is such a lovely children's tableware set. Asides from the The Very Hungry Caterpillar design, I think the bright colours are really lovely on it. It would make such a lovely gift for a child who's perhaps just moving up from using plastic tableware.

kids christmas pyjamas

You might well have seen both of my boys matching in these adorable Christmas reindeer pyjamas in my recent snow day blog post. I absolutely love them! They're from JoJo Maman Bebe and they are super soft. I always like to get my boys new pyjamas at Christmas and these make the perfect gift!

You can't go wrong with a few new books for Christmas can you? And these are two of my favourite kids books this year. You might have seen me share the Snowman and the Snowdog one on my Instagram and Instagram stories a few weeks back and I said then just how amazing and magical I think it is. Firstly because who doesn't love the story? We watch it without fail every Christmas Eve. And secondandly you can actually have the story personalised for your child, which just adds even more magic!

the snowman and the snowdon personalised book

The Snowman and The Snowdog personalised book is from Penwizard and I've actually managed to get a 20% off discount code for my blog readers. Use the code: BUMP20 to get the discount if you are interested in ordering one. *Not valid in conjunction with any other offers or discount codes. Discount valid on personalised books only. Offer valid until midnight Friday 13th December 2017 (so hurry if you do want to order it). Penwizard cannot provide refunds for unused discount codes.

The other book that I think is really lovely is “A Christmas Tale” which is a festive storybook created by Joules around the adventures of the Crackle Family and Emily’s four pets Montague the dog, Sausage the cat, Paul the rabbit and Molly the Goose. I think it would make such a great stocking filler as the story and the illustrations are both lovely! I also love that 100% of the profit from these beautifully illustrated books goes to Charitably Joules.

super wings airport control tower
If your little one is really into planes and airports then I think this Super Wings World Airport Playset Control Tower would be somethig that they would love! The playset includes mini transforming characters Jett and Donnie that can attach to the fly-bar and spin to circle the World Airport before they come in for landing. Children can load them into the elevator and lift them up to the control tower, then launch them down the ramp. You can slo flip open the base compartment to reveal a luggage carousel and a cargo scale. It's such a great playset for any young plane/airport fan!

imaginext Dragonzord

My eldest little boy has had this Power Rangers Imaginext Dragonzord on his wishlist for a while now and we managed to grab a bargain by getting it from SMYTHS when it was just £25 during the Black Friday event. It sadly seems to have gone back up in price now and is out of stock on their site, but it is currently available at Argos for £49.99 which is a 22% price drop from it's normal price. Looking at it and playing with it in it's box, it does seem to be worth the price and I think it's something that is going to get played with a lot. You can do the following with it:
  • Turn Power Pad to open Dragonzord’s chest
  • Place Green Ranger inside the cockpit
  • Dragon Dagger remote control to move the Zord
  • Push the button to rapid-fire 5 missiles
  • Shake the Dagger to send the Zord into his iconic battle spin
  • Sounds and light-up chest and mouth.
little live pets cat

If your little one is cat-obsessed like my lttle boy is then this could just be the perfect gift. As soon as I saw this on my friend Hayley's blog (www.sparklesandstretchmarks.com), I knew I had to ask Father Christmas for it for Ethan as he is obsessed with cats and desperately wants a kitten. (We have three cats already!). I know he's going to love it as the cuddly toy cat comes with it's own little collar and bowl and it nuzzles like a real cat and it's tail moves. It also has 20 kitten sounds. If I'm honest this is the gift I'm most excited about my little boy opening up on Christmas day. :)

duplo town house

If your little one loves Duplo then I found this Duplo My Town house on Amazon and I think it's such a great set. It comes with some great unique bricks and a Duplo toy car too. My two could play with Duplo for hours and I just know that they'll love having a house like this that they can build and play with.

I really hope that you've enjoyed reading through my ideas and I hope that it's given you some Christmas gift inspiration if you're buying for a little one this Christmas.

Thank you so much for reading.
