Healthy Weekly Snack Subscription Box For Kids From Chewymoon | Review & Giveaway

When ChewyMoon got in touch with us and introduced themselves as the UK’s first nutritionally-balanced subscription snack box for children between the ages of 4 and 10, with snacks made from natural ingredients, with no refined sugar or nasties, I was keen to know more

The idea of a subscription box that provides five healthy snacks together with a fun pack comprising of comics, fact cards and totem toys, was one I straight away thought my eldest Son, Ethan, would get excited about. Ethan can be quite a bit fussy with food and trying new things, but I have recently discovered that if there's an element of some sort of fun or novelty involved with trying something new, then he's usually up for it.

I didn't tell Ethan about the boxes until they arrived after he spotted them himself. I think the bright coloured packaging and the animal characters on the front are what caught his attention straight away.

We were sent a family pack and also a pack just for kids, which had been personalised with Ethan's name on the front of the box. Inside our family pack where snacks suitable for everyone with bonus power-up snacks for us grown ups, clearly marked 'for grown ups only'.

Ethan's pack consisted of five individual different healthy snacks to try, with information about the nutritional facts for each snack box, a fact card, a comic and a pop out character which Ethan really liked.

Ethan particularly liked the different animal characters on each box and the fact that each different snack came with it's own individual box. For some reason, the boys had lots of fun running around the house holding them.

Was surprised, knowing how fussy Ethan can be with trying new things, at just how willing he was to get tucked in to his snack boxes. He loved trying the different fruits and berries and all of the combinations of snacks and each pack was just the right amount for a mid-morning or after-school snack.

It was really nice to see a good selection of things to try from fruits to berries to savoury snacks too and it made me feel better knowing that they were packed with vitamins and minerals and all natural ingredients.

We've been left so impressed with our Chewymoon snack boxes that I am happy to wholeheartedly recommend them here on my blog. I think the idea is brilliant and I love how much thought goes in to the boxes and the snacks themselves. They really appealed to my very nearly four year old Son - not only was he willing to try everything (where he usually can be quite fussy with trying new things), but he was also very excited about the fact that he had his own box with smaller boxes of snacks in and I think the packaging is spot on and really seems to appeal to children.

Chewymoon customises the snacks boxes based on different children's ages and their taste ratings. You choose from your favourite sort of box between fruit, variety or savoury and then you tell them your child's age and activity level and then rate their different snacks online so they know your child's taste preferences. Their nutritionists then make up a snack pack using healthy ingredients and then add fun facts cards and comics in to the box and then it gets delivered.

All of their products are suitable for vegetarians, however, some contain dairy and are not suitable for vegans. As the ChewyMoon snack boxes are  customisable, can choose to refrain from dairy, gluten or any other ingredients and you can “dislike” the relevant snacks, or send Chewymoon an email with specific requirements and wishes.

Boxes are delivered weekly and are usually £4.99 including postage, with the first box being free. You are able to cancel your subscription at any time should you wish.
