The Stokke Crusi with Carrycot | Review

Stokke Crusi Review, Black-Melange Stokke Crusi,

I remember a while ago seeing the Stokke Crusi on Hannah Magg's blog and thinking then that it was absolutely beautiful. It was something about the design and the grey (or black-melange) coloured fabric that really made it stand out to me.

The Crusi is very much to my taste - it's a modern, contemporary pram that is able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of a family. Attachments and accessories cost extra, but it's able to transform from being used with a carrycot for those early newborn days, to being used as a stroller as the child gets older and can even be used as a double pram for two children using the sibling solution. It's adaptability and design are for me, what make it stand out as a premium, stylish modern-day pram.

I'm going to be taking a more detailed look at both the stroller and sibling attachment in a separate post over the next week or so, but today I'm focusing on the Crusi with use of the carrycot (thanks to the kind help of my newly born Son, Logan!).

Stokke Crusi Review, Black-Melange Stokke Crusi,

The first thing to note about the Stokke Crusi in general is it's height.. the high carry cot position means that Logan is closer to me whilst in his pram, it also means that I have to bend over far less than I would using another more lower pushchair, which for me, with my back condition, is pretty handy. The handle of the pushchair is really easy to adjust, making it perfect for those Mummy's and Daddy's with height differences.

Stokke Crusi Review, Black-Melange Stokke Crusi,

I find it incredibly easy to assemble and disassemble the Crusi by myself when my husband isn't around, the carrycot is so simple to click in to place. I actually commented to my husband the other day about how I had wondered if it would be a pain using a carrycot this time around (as we didn't bother with one for Ethan), but that it had turned out it was much easier than I'd imagined, plus I feel so much better knowing that Logan is laying flat. It's nice not having to worry about taking him out of a car seat attatchment every hour or so to let him have a stretch.

Stokke Crusi Review, Black Melange Stokke Crusi,

When I took these photos, a few days after Logan was born, it struck me just how tiny he looks inside of his carrycot. It's nice to know that he's got so much room in there, as well as lots of room to grow. He looks like he feels really comfortable, it's almost as if his carrycot is his own little portable crib!

Stokke Crusi Review, Black Melange Stokke Crusi,

I find the Crusi incredibly easy to push, there's never been a moment where I've been frustrated with how it manoeuvres or how the wheels work - it's incredibly parent friendly! I also love that the Crusi has such a huge, easily accessible shopping basket, which fits so much in - something that is vital when you have a baby and have to take so much out with you everytime you leave the house! (Unless you're popping down the road to the park, like I was when I snapped these pictures!) ;) Another thing to mention is the ventilated hood which helps to improve air quality and reduce any moisture inside of the carrycot or the stroller seat, when in use.

Stokke Crusi Review, Black Melange Stokke Crusi,

I'm a big fan of the Stokke Crusi, not only is it absolutely gorgeous, utterly stylish and totally modern, it's practical, easy to use, adaptable, parent and child friendly and a pushchair that just totally ticks all of the boxes!

Review of the stroller seat and sibling solution attachment coming soon. Find out more about the Stokke Crusi at stokke.com. *Item sent for review - all opinions, as always, are totally my own. :)
