Las Iguanas Restaurant Review

las iguanas, las iguanas mk, milton keynes family friendly restaurants, las iguanas review
Last week we very kindly invited to pop along and review a Mexican (yes.. another Mexican haha) restaurant in Milton Keynes called Las Iguanas. Being the food lovers that we are, we of course kindly accepted the offer. We recently reviewed Chimichanga in MK, which is also a Mexican.. It was our first time at a Mexican restaurant and if you read the review you'll know that we absolutely loved it. So, as new fans of Mexican food, I suppose you could say that we had high expectations for Las Iguanas.
I took along two gorgeous helpers with me who just happened to be the loves of my life! ;)

THE MENUS
Of all the restaurants I've been to, when it comes to menus, no one has done it better than Las Iguanas! They offer not only a mouth-wateringly brilliant 'main' menu, they also have an additional 'veggie and vegan' menu and also another for those on a gluten-free diet and of course, one for the kids! This really impressed me and a meat-free menu was more than welcomed by us as veggies.

The menu options were explained to us by our waiter and we were told about the restaurants happy hour and lunchtime deals.

DRINKS
There are many drinks on offer and I highly recommend the cocktails, my Husband and I had the same one as they were buy one get on free at the time and they we're gorgeous - totally refreshing!

FOOD
We ordered Tapas from the vegetarian menu, opting for the five dishes for £24.00. We both wanted to really sample the menu and this felt like the best way to do it. The food was absolutely lovely and there portion sizes were just enough - not too little and not too much. Ethan ate from the kids menu and his dinner went down really well (picture below).

THE RESTAURANT ITSELF
Inside the actual restaurant it is really clean and modern. Its's quite a big restaurant and even has a funky bar area. There are baby changing facilities which for us parents comes in really handy and the staff are genuinely really friendly. Las Iguanas, MK, is located in 'The Hub' area of milton keynes central.

DESSERTS
There was such a sensational array of desserts available, our waiter kindly suggested the cheesecake to my Husband which he in turn chose to try. This turned out to be a fantastic choice as he says it was the best cheesecake he'd ever had! He couldn't even wait for me to photograph before diving right in (see below) haha! :) I had Churros which were lovely and even Ethan had a little ice cream and jelly, which of course he loved.

OUR FINAL THOUGHT
We had such a lovely time at Las Iguanas, we had amazing food, fabulous drinks and the most friendly waiter we've had in a long time! Ethan was given a balloon which he loved playing with and also as we left they also gave him a little t-shirt with the restaurants logo on. These little touches make it a place to remember. We felt so relaxed during our meal and really looked after. We would absolutely go back. This is not only a family-friendly place to eat but also a fantastic spot for 'adult' drinks in the evening.

I would totally recommend Las Iguanas and can't wait to go back!

  1. Oh we love Las Iguanas! We used to go all the time in Liverpool and were made up when one FINALLY opened in Exeter a few months ago!
The kids menus are great and they're one of the few places I've seen do a baby menu with actual baby food!
