I can't tell you how happy I feel when the weather starts to warm up here in England this time of year. I've always been a summer-loving person - I just can't stand the bitter cold, which always feels worse because I have bad blood circulation and have a condition called Raynaud's which means when I'm cold my fingers and toes slowly start to turn yellow one by one! It's not nice and has always meant that I've hated the cold even more than most.

So when the winter weather starts to ease up and the sun starts to make an appearance it's one of my most favourite times of the year. I don't think there's much better than seeing all the flowers start to bloom again. The blossom, the blue skies, the birds singing, the fluffy clouds, the daffodils, feeling the warm sun on your face and the way the sunlight pokes through the trees - it's these first signs of Spring and warmer weather that for me, spark so much joy. It really is the simple things.
