Though I am not a lover of the cold, I have really enjoyed being able to use our wood burner to warm our house up lately. As this is our first year in our new home, it is the very first time that we have had a proper fireplace and I really do love it a lot - it makes everything feel so much more cosier, especially in the evenings.
This year we decided to invest in some halloween/autumn inspired decor and makeover the mantelpiece and a few spots around our home. We had so much fun collecting autumn leaves, twigs and conkers on our autumn walk and I had lots of fun choosing some great halloween themed decor bits too! Here's how our finished autumn/halloween inspired mantelpiece looks..
