I've been bursting to share this with you all..
A little while ago now, a lovely journalist from Cosmopolitan magazine stumbled across my blog on the hunt for childhood sweethearts, she contacted me and asked me if we would like to feature in their magazine for a childhood sweethearts article, in which we would re-create a photograph from when we had first met. Obviously, we jumped at the chance and went along to a studio in London where the amount of effort that went into re-creating the picture was actually phenomenal.
I had my make-up and hair done (though sadly it did have to look like it did when I was 14 - boo, not a good look!). We had a lovely lunch ordered for us, and they even got in extras to feature in the background of the photo! The photographer had photographed many top celebs before - it was all very glam and it took us totally out of everyday life!
The finished photograph and short interview have now gone to print and we are featured in Septembers issue (out today - 8th August) on page 90. We're also featured on their website: Childhood Sweethearts Who've Stayed Together!
I really enjoyed being a part of the childhood sweethearts feature.. Doing the interview and the photo shoot brought back so many lovely memories and it made us both realise not only just how lucky we are and how many memories we share, but actually, just how much we have changed and grown over the years yet remained totally and utterly in love with one another.
