A New Normal For A While... UK Coronavirus Lockdown

I don't think anyone expected 2020 to look the way that it currently does. We're currently in lockdown here in the UK at the moment, like many other countries are. COVID 19 or coronavirus as it is known has forced so many of us to stay at home to avoid catching it. The schools are closed as are the non-essential (food and pharmacy) shops. The hospitals are experiencing a HUGE increase in patients and the numbers of cases and deaths are currently rising every day. It's completely surreal and a bit like a bad dream, but it's our new normal for a while until we as a world find a way to get through this.

The most important advice being reiterated is to stay at home unless you need essential food/medicine and if you don't work in an essential job and to wash your hands often. We are currently allowed out for one exercise a day but have to keep 2 metres apart. Basically, we all need to avoid each other, unless you live in the same household and aren't showing any symptoms of the coronavirus (if you are presenting with symptoms then you are being asked to isolate in another room to your family).

Essentials Checklist: Everything You Need in a Baby Nursery

A nursery is a room specially dedicated to babies and baby-related activities. Such activities include feeding, sleeping, and changing. For this reason, there are some essential items to consider when designing a nursery. Below are some essentials for a baby nursery;

1. Baby cot bed

A baby cot bed is also referred to as infant beds. They feature a bed with protective rails all around and a mattress. There are different sizes and beautiful design for baby cots. Mattresses for baby cots are specially designed for the beds. When choosing the perfect mattress size, consider the size of the bed. You will also need sheets and blankets for your baby cot. A waterproof mattress cover is also a good idea. This is an essential item in any baby nursery.

2. Changing Tables

Changing tables or changing pads are essential items in a nursery. In the nursery, changing tables are installed on a corner in the room. On the other hand, changing pad kits are used for outdoor purposes. When choosing the best changing tables, consider a material that is easy to clean, does not soak liquids or stain easily.

5 Inexpensive & Easy Ways to Accessorise Your Outfit

For current and expecting mothers, it can be easy to get into a routine of comfort and completely disregard exciting, fashionable outfits. Those signature jeans that made you feel super confident are no longer the most practical option to wear. Therefore, they fall to the bottom of your drawers.

No one should ever expect you to drop your comfy flats in favour of some kitten heels just for show. However, many women do find happiness in intentionally dressing up for themselves once in a while.

If you need some simple and cheap ways to feel like you have your life in control from head to toe, try one (or a combination!) of these:

Boys Bedroom Decor Updates: Growing Up

I'm sure all parents can relate when I say keeping the boy's bedrooms tidy is a daily challenge! But, even so, I absolutely love their bedrooms and I feel so fortunate that they both have their own space to play, create and grow in. We finished Ethan's blue and white bedroom makeover in late 2018 after a two-storey side extension which made his bedroom double the size it was and it has worked so well for him. However, as he grows up and his interests change I like to change the decor around a bit and so recently we've done a few updates including adding some better lego storage which I shared here as well as some new wall art from Posterlounge and also some other little personal touches which I wanted to share.

Fun Lego Ideas & Finding The Perfect Lego Storage

lego ideas, lego decor, lego diy, lego storage, lego name, lego letters, lego minifigure display, lego display ideas,

As a Mum of two lego obsessed little boys and a wife to an equally Lego-obsessed Husband, I am always looking for the best way to store the Lego in our house and I think I have finally found my favourite way which I am going to share with you today!

I am also going to share some of the fun things that we've been doing with Lego lately with the boys. What we love about Lego is that the possibilities of play and creating are completely endless. It's the toy that never gets old (as is demonstrated by Husband who still builds Lego sets at nearly 32).

The Introvert Tag

It might seem strange for me to tell you that I am an introvert considering that I share so much of my life online via my blog, my youtube channel and my social media platforms. But in a funny old way, this is probably the perfect sort of job and hobby for an introvert like me. It allows me connect with like-minded people all over the world in a way that I feel comfortable and it also allows me to withdraw whenever I need to.

As an introvert, I love nothing more than deep and meaningful conversations and I much prefer one on one interaction over groups. I am so much happier pondering life questions than I am talking about the latest fashion or newest handbag. And whilst I was planning content last week I thought why not sit down and chat through some deep and meaningful questions? And so I created 'The Introvert Tag'. I've got 14 questions that as an introvert spark my interest. I filmed my answers to these questions over on YouTube, but I thought I'd share them here too for those of you who prefer to read blogs over watching videos. I'd love to know your answers too, so if you've got a blog please do join in and if you don't then please feel free to pick a few favourite questions and answer them in the comment section. :)
