Where To Eat As A Vegetarian At Disneyland Paris

Before our trip to Disneyland Paris, I tried to do as much research as possible into the best places to eat as a vegetarian family. I found a few helpful articles but ultimately I was surprised at the lack of recommendations and so I ended up checking and rechecking a lot of the menus via a website called dlpguide.com which I found to be so helpful in terms of laying out the different restaurants available at Disneyland, the menu's for them, the type of food that they serve, the general cost and more. Using this site I worked out which restaurants would be best for us as vegetarians with particularly fussy eaters. And I'm glad to say all the research and planning paid off! Our Disneyland Paris dining experience was really positive and we all ate really well.

Today I'm going to share which restaurants we ate at and would happily recommend. We had a Disneyland Paris dining plan which was the free half board plus plan, it got included in our package when we booked and I would say it was perfect for us. We took tons of snacks with us and I made up snack packs (I talk more about these and what I included in them in my 'What to Pack for Disneyland Paris with Kids' video).

We had our breakfast vouchers through our plan, our snack packs for lunch (and for throughout the day) and then our meal vouchers for the evening. Disneyland food isn't cheap and we can never guarantee how much the boys are going to eat dinner-wise (if any) and so I'm really glad that we had the plan so that we weren't having to buy meals for them individually. I should also say that we booked all of our meals beforehand as not to be disappointed or have to wait in a queue for seating for hours. Some of the restaurants are hugely popular so it's really advisable to pre-book if you can.

Breakfast
Some of the mornings at Disneyland we skipped breakfast despite having vouchers. Our breakfast vouchers were only valid at Restaurant en Coulisse in the Walt Disney Studios Park and sometimes we'd be heading straight over to the Disneyland Park to get on some of the rides there and make the most of our Early Magic Hours. For those days we took small variety breakfast cereal boxes with us for the boys to snack on dry and also fruit and brioches. When we did use our vouchers, it was counter service style dining and we had a choice between the sweet or savoury breakfasts. The sweet consisted of orange juice, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, pan au chocolate and a plain croissant with butter and jam on the side. The savoury consisted of the same but with an omelette and bacon burger too. My Husband asked for no bacon in his twice and the staff wrote it down but forgot to do it. Luckily my Husband checked it before biting into it. But other than that the breakfast was exactly what I'd expected it to be.

Lunch

Agrabah cafe
On our first full day at DLP we ate at Agrabah Cafe in Disneyland Park with our meal voucher, this restaurant closes early and isn't open around dinner time (or wasn't when we went) so we ate at 3:30 pm. Initially, I thought this would be an awkward time of day to eat but it was actually quite perfect as we were finished in time for the Main St parade to start at 5 pm. I loved the Aladdin theming in this restaurant and the fact that it was a buffet as it meant that we could eat as much or as little as we wanted to. I found the chefs to be really helpful in pointing out what was vegetarian and the food choices available to us were really good. I had read that Agrabah Cafe was an excellent choice for vegetarians and we would certainly agree.

Earl Of Sandwich
Another fantastic place we ate at for lunch was Earl Of Sandwich in the Disney Village. We'd visited Earl Of Sandwich in Walt Disney World Florida and we loved it then, so we were sure we were going to love it again and we did. They really seem to understand vegetarianism and go out of there way to have things available on the menu for veggies as well also accommodating any requests. They make everything fresh to order in about 4 minutes using delicious ingredients and their veggie sandwich is probably the best sandwich I've ever tasted (and I'm not even a huge sandwich fan!). As well as hot sandwiches, they also sell a selection of salads, soups, wraps and desserts as well as having a breakfast menu. Earl of Sandwich is located next to the PanoraMagique on the lake and has outdoor and indoor dining options with probably the best views in the Disney Village. Definitely worth a visit!

Plaza Gardens Restaurant
On our last day at Disneyland Paris, we ate late lunch/early dinner at Plaza Gardens Restaurant which is buffet style dining. There was plenty on offer for vegetarians the chefs were very good at answering any questions we had. They also were happy to make up some pasta for our boys with a tomato sauce as the pasta that was already out contained fish. The desserts in Plaza Gardens Restaurant are incredible, I'm not usually such a dessert fan, but I couldn't choose between them as they were all really good! They also had ice creams in cones available at the dessert station if you asked for them.

Dinner

Captain Jack's
For dinner dining, I would definitely recommend eating at Captain Jack's which is a table service restaurant. We had a really nice vegetable curry in there and the boys had tomato pasta. The theming was perfect, you were told that you had become a pirate when you entered and were shown to sit down. It was dimly lit and you're actually inside of the Pirates Of the Caribbean ride and can see the boat going passed in the water. Eating there was such a fantastic experience. Definitely one of my favourites!

Planet Hollywood
Another restaurant I would highly recommend is Planet Hollywood (though this isn't covered by Disney meal vouchers). The American style menu is huge at Planet Hollywood and there are great vegetarian options available. The boys and I had very tasty pizza and my Husband had some yummy vegetarian noodles in there. There are also four pages of gluten-free options, the menu at Planet Hollywood definitely has something for everyone. They serve a range of drinks including alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails and they also offer VERY impressive desserts! The theming inside of Planet Hollywood is incredible and features real Hollywood memorabilia, from the not-so-tiny spiders from Arachnophobia to the beautifully decorated chariot from Ben Hur. They even have a disco going on in their toilets!

Of course my Hubby had to try the biggest dessert on the menu! ;)

Cape Cod
Another restaurant that we'd recommend is Cape Cod, this was one of the restaurants in our hotel at the Newport Bay Club. It's a Mediterranean and International buffet style restaurant and it accepted our meal vouchers. It was very convenient for our first night though sadly I didn't get to eat as much as I would have liked as I wasn't very well, my Husband had a great meal though, as did the boys. I had some of the soup which was really nice! They even had candy floss available for dessert!

Oh and I couldn't not mention all of the tasty Disney snacks and treats you can pick up from all over the parks. My Hubby found this tasty Star Wars treat in the Walt Disney Studios Park during Season of The Force! It's so clever!

I hope this post had been helpful if you're vegetarian yourself and visiting Disneyland Paris soon. Don't forget if you'd like to see a bit of footage from some of the vegetarian-friendly Disneyland Paris restaurants then I've shared a video on my youtube channel. If you've got any other recommendations for dining meat-free at DLP, please don't forget to share them down below in the comment section for others to see. :)

  1. This is a super handy guide. As a ex long term vegetarian now vegan it can be so hard to find somewhere that the family can all enjoy together!

  3. I never even thought about where vegetarians would eat at Disney. We were frustrated by the lack of fruit available

  7. We are currently flexitarians for a few reasons and are trying to get the kids to fully make the switch, which can be difficult if you co-parent, but these ideas are brilliant and we'll definitely be following your suggestions.
