A Family Day Spent At LEGOLAND Windsor With O2

Those of you that have followed my blog for a while now, will know that as a family we are certainly no strangers to the world of LEGO. My Husband has carved himself out a full time business creating custom mini figures based on popular TV shows, films and games and away from his business, his own personal collection is ever-growing.

My Husband, Adam, has got our eldest little boy, Ethan, who's nearly four now, into all things LEGO too and I'm sure in a few years Logan, our youngest, will follow suit too.

It's funny then that three out of the four of us had never visited LEGOLAND Windsor before - Adam had been as a child, but he hadn't been been in years. So when O2 got in touch with us and asked if we'd be interested in visiting LEGOLAND for the day whilst helping them to promote their #FollowTheRabbit campaign, we of course excitedly accepted their offer.

We visited on Saturday 1st April, so we expected it would be a little busy, but we made sure that we we're up and at the park early enough to take full advantage of the entire day there, plus our 30 minute early entry time (more on that below) and actually we managed to do quite a lot (even with Logan who was a bit too small for a number of the rides).

My nearly four year-old's favourite ride was The Dragon in the Nexo Knights Kingdom, mostly because he's a little thrill-seaker even at such a young age. And I loved the Atlantis Submarine Voyage in Adventure Land, because it just felt like a really lovely little magical underwater adventure.

We all absolutely loved the decor around the park, particularly the castle in the knights kingdom and of course, all of the absolutely incredible LEGO model displays all over the park. They truly are so incredible to see up and close in real life.

My Husband, being a massive Star Wars fan, as well as an enormous LEGO fan, loved the Star Wars miniland model display and gallery, as did my little boy (who hasn't even seen Star Wars).

For lunch/dinner we ate at the City Walk Pizza & Pasta restaurant, where it was buffet-style and eat as much as you like. They had good vegetarian pasta and pizza choices available and lots of seating.

We didn't get to see any of the shows unfortunately, though they looked great. We instead focused on prioritising the rides and letting the boys play in the brilliant playgrounds within the park. My youngest Son Logan, who is one and a half, loved riding on the DUPLO valley train and looking at all the LEGO models on display whilst on the Fairy Tale Brook ride, which is a gentle boat ride suitable for all the family.

We were so lucky with the weather despite heavy rain being predicted. We in fact ended up with blue skies all day and only saw rain on our drive home. We had a really, really lovely day at LEGOLAND - it was so nice to just switch off and take some time out as a family to have some fun together. We will definitely be back.

O2's blue rabbit is their symbol of curiosity and the symbol to try new things and visit new places. They understand that for parents, days out with children aren't always easy. So they've put together a Merlin O2 Priority reward for their customers to help make family days out a little more hassle free.

Over the next few weeks O2 customers can buy a ticket for Thorpe Park, LEGOLAND Windsor, Alton Towers or Chessington World of Adventures for £25 per person on a Saturday or Sunday. The ticket also includes early entry (30 minutes before he park's usual opening time) and fast track on certain rides. This is a limited-time offer and if you are interested in knowing more you can visit priority.o2.co.uk/.
