Roll back two years ago - if you'd asked me then if I liked a beard on a man I would have answered your question with a firm and certain - "No", but fast forward to the present day and I can't imagine my Husband who always sported the clean shaven look previously, without his beard. I now absolutely love a beard on him. Perhaps if I'm truly honest here, it's because he looks quite young without it. And I don't mean that in an offensive way towards him, we both often say how young we both look and we both agree that Adam looks even younger without his beard. I've really grown to love facial hair on men and I'm not quite sure why I used to be so against it in the first place?!
Apparently though, the beard is on it's way out of fashion? I can't see this myself as I see a lot of men still proudly sporting their beards and even a lot of guys attempting to grow them! But these statistics from Fashion Beans suggest that I may just be wrong..
So men.. if you're reading this and you're interested in saying goodbye to the beard (please don't!) what are your options?..
I don't know about you but for me personally statistics and trends don't really matter.. If your man looks good with a beard who cares if it's on it's way out of fashion? Let the beards live on I say! ;)
I was never a huge fan of beards, but my boyfriend has a shortish one and I actually really like it! I find moustaches on their own can look strange though...

DeleteAhh I'm afraid I`m the opposite side of the coin...I can't wait to see the back of beards and 'taches! lol! They're EVERYWHERE and I don't understand the appeal...especially the big bushy beard trend!
ReplyDeleteJon grew a beard a couple of years ago, he only had it for about a week...I kept telling him he looked like he belonged on some kind of "Have You Seen This Creepy Man" poster...that might be why it didn't last long lol xx

ReplyDeleteHugely agree let the beards stay! My boyfriend also grew a beard about 2years ago and although it does seem like every man jumped on this trend at some point, I really couldn't imagine him without it now! He definately pulls it off ... In my eyes anyway ;) xxx
