Packing, Purchasing and Planning Ahead!

This time next week we'll be picking up our keys. We would have packed everything up and loaded up the van and said our goodbyes to what has been our home for around 4 years. I don't have much, if any, of an emotional attachment to our current home, so I don't think it'll be too hard. The hardest part will be rounding up our four cats and moving them from the area they know so well as their home.

It's onwards and upwards for us, a new chapter of our lives! I really hope we can be happy there :)

We've been having a massive clear out and have started packing a lot of our stuff and buying new furniture and other home bits. When you're selling most of your furniture like we are, next day beds come in very handy! I also finally got round to buying Ethan a storage basket for his toys as his previous basket was completely over flowing! I'm really happy with it as it looks quite nice with our current decor and will also look great with our soon-to-be decor in our new home. It came with a second smaller basket which we'll probably use for logs for the fire.

Since we're going to be so busy next month with not only moving but me returning to work and Ethans 1st Birthday, I've started thinking ahead and planning. I've been collecting lots of bits for Ethans Birthday for a while now and have a good idea about what we will be doing and the general theme I want for his little party, which will just be family as he doesn't really know any other babies just yet. We're going to go blue and white and I'm taking lots of inspiration from Amelias 1st Birthday theme that the lovely Kerry put together which you can see here

I've also been thinking about Easter and have collected some bits for Ethan already including this adorable easter chick gift bag. I will be doing an Easter blog post on this closer to the time.

So that's what I've been up to lately, it's all very exciting and it's sure to creep up on us so quickly.

I'm going to leave you with this adorable picture of Ethan. He stole my banana out of my bag and tried to eat it.. (he'd already had his!).
