33 Weeks: Running Out Of Room + Running On Empty

How far along?: 33 Weeks.. 4 Days.

Maternity clothes: Nope, nothing new.

Stretch marks: Still the same as last week.

Sleep: Oh.. I am so tired. Week 33 is the week that has seen my toilet trips go through the roof and this does not stop at night. I wake up an incredible amount of times during the night with a full and very squished bladder.

Best moment this week: On Saturday your Dad and I spent the day off together and had a little play around with your car seat - putting it on the pram and learning how to use it. It's so tiny, I can already imagine you in there with a little blue blanket over you.

Miss anything?: I miss having energy and not having to spend a chunk of my day going to the toilet.

Movement: Still lots and lots. At times I think you are perhaps doing somersaults in there or trying to bust out of my skin. I love feeling all of your lumps and bumps and showing your Dad. I often stroke any hard lumps that come up on my stomach and wonder if you can feel it.

Food cravings: I think that I've finally had my first 'craving'! A couple of evenings back I would have done almost anything for a slice of birthday cake with thick icing! I'm also really enjoying orange juice and satsumas lately.

Anything making you queasy or sick? No.

Gender: Boy <3

Labour signs: No

Symptoms:
No energy whatsoever.
Lots of back pain! {Upper and lower}.
I have been having period like pains in my lower stomach just below the bump and sometimes shooting pains in the same place {I don't know what this is, I'm thinking that maybe you're laying low or it's just a bit of stretching}.
At work today my vision went completely off. I could hardly see anything including the computer screen in front of me, it was really scary and it lasted for a good 10-15 minutes! I phoned the labour ward and we went through everything, I've been told to take it easy and phone back if it gets worse. It's worrying and frustrating because I never know if it's 'normal' for pregnancy or if I should be concerned.

Belly button in or out? Out.

Wedding rings on or off? On!

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy when I'm not tired {which unfortunately I am most of the time}.

Looking forward to: Our antenatal classes which start on Monday.

Also This week: We had the appointment with the anaesthetist yesterday regarding my scoliosis and whether this would effect whether or not I could have an epidural. The anaesthetist seemed to think even though it could be a little harder to do it wouldn't be a problem, so that was good!

Your Daddy and Sammy wanted to get in on the 'bump post' this week!
{I love this pic and have currently got it as my lock screen on my iPhone}.

Here we both are..
Your Dad - freshly shaven and your Mum - looking rather exhausted.

  2. Aww lovely pics! :)

Re: the vision - for the life of me I cannot remember where I read it, but I definitely read somewhere this week that women are likely to have vision problems in the later stages of pregnancy!
(I haven't noticed as my eyesight is always rubbish, but that could explain what happened to you!)

Also - the period and shooting pains have been happening to me, I'm thinking its braxton hicks. (They say mild period pains is how labour feels when it first starts, eeek!)

    Good news about the epidural!

  4. I'm sure they can feel it when you strike them through your tummy. My youngest used to dosappeae then pop something back up for another stroke (if that makes sense). I wouldn't worry too much about funny little pregnancy pains, I think they're fairly normal. You do look live though, I swear I looked like a cow from 20 weeks!

  5. Awe you are too cute! I just love your bump! I am a week behind you, and our bumps are definitely similar :) Just looked at his nursery and it is so adorable!
And I need to meet w/ an anesthesiologist as well. I've got spina biffida occulta, so we shall see how this laboring experience will be! Glad your news was positive :)
