Ten Quotes to Help Keep You Inspired and Motivated

Lets face it, there are some days that we all need a little inspiration, motivation or just a general pick me up. On days like those - I always find reading inspirational quotes and words really helps me to stop, take minute and truly reflect. I like things that open up my mind and sort of give a good perspective on things - an outsiders perspective even. And I find that reading motivational quotes is sort of similar to giving your brain and general emotional state a bit of a good talking to and sometimes a well needed telling off.

For todays blog post, I thought I would share some of the words of wisdom I, myself, look to when I'm in need of a little pick me up to hopefully help to inspire other people. If you're one of those people, like me, who finds reading these sorts of things helpful, please feel free to bookmark this page (or pin it over on your Pinterest page) and revisit it whenever you're having one of 'those' days. Hopefully having a little read through some of the below will help make you feel a little better and lot more in control.

So without further ado, here are the top ten motivational quotes that I try and remind myself of to keep me feeling inspired and motivated on a day to day basis..

1. You have to be odd to be number one.  - Dr. Sues
2. Life is like a bicycle, in order to keep your balance you must keep moving. - Albert Einstein
3. Don't compare your beginning to someone else's middle. - Jon Acuff
4. Four things you can't recover.. The stone.. after the throw. The word.. after it's said.  The occasion.. after it's missed. The time.. after it's gone.
5. You must be the change you wish to see in the world. - Mahatma Gandhi
6. To love a person is to see all of their magic and to remind them of it when they have forgotten.
7. Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. - Dr. Suess
8. A person who never made a mistake, never tried anything new.  - Albert Einstein
9. And the only way to great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet - keep looking, don't settle.  As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. - Steve Jobs
10. When you feel like quitting.. think why you started!

Lastly, despite the fact that I only said I'd do ten, I'm going to throw in this bonus quote that I saw over on the homepage of The Centre of Advanced Dentistry Yorkshire whilst reading about National Smile Month, which runs from May 18th to June 18th 2015. I thought it was a great quote to remind us all to smile more often - ‘Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.’ - Mother Theresa
