The staff were friendly and showed us promptly to the spa area so that we could get straight into relaxing. The ladies working in the spa were even friendlier and we were given a thorough tour of the facilities after filling in a quick health questionnaire and after being served a welcome drink.
I'd heard that this particular spa was award winning and after our tour I could see why - the spa had a lot to offer! Asides from offering a true taste of Thailand through means of Thai pyjamas to wear around the spa (as well as a robe and pool shoes), there were traditional Thai treatments and a Thai restaurant which served the most wonderful food. And then there were all the little touches around the place such as Thai-inspired ornaments and water features that just added to the Thai experience.
FACILITIES
There was a large hydrotherapy pool, an ozone swimming pool, a herbal sauna, a crystal steam room, a laconicum, a tepidarium, amazing experience showers and health showers and even relaxation areas where you could get complimentary refreshments. The SenSpa offered it all.
TREATMENTS
We'd booked ourselves in for a anti-stress Thai back and neck massage and it was absolutely wonderful. I could have stayed in the treatment room all day. We were in a couples room and it was Adams first ever massage, he'd always stayed away from them through fear they 'just weren't his thing' but as soon as our massages were up, he questioned aloud how he'd ever managed before without them. The two ladies that gave us our massages were so lovely and totally professional, it was such a lovely experience.
As Adam and I are vegetarian, I can only speak from a vegetarians point of view. And us veggies are at Careys Manor and Senspa totally catered for! There are so many options at both lunch and dinner. We ate in The Zen Garden for lunch and had an absolutely lovely Thai meal and for dinner and breakfast we ate in The Manor Restaurant, where I found the prices were perhaps a bit high (though this was to be expected in a spa and manor hotel like we were in) but that as a vegetarian we were well catered for.
The staff at dinner were super-friendly yet again. Our waiter Fernando was really professional with a good sense of humour and all the tables were brought a little something to keep us going whilst dinner cooked, this was with compliments from the chef. Everyone was also kindly provided with different types of breads as we waited for our dinners to cook - this was a lovely touch.

THE ROOM
Our room was gorgeous - really clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. We had a lovely nights sleep and the room came complete with complimentary champagne and chocolate - bonus!
We really really enjoyed our stay at Careys Manor & Senspa. We left feeling totally relaxed and refreshed, it was a lovely break for us as a couple too. Thank you to Careys Manor & Senspa for the wonderful stay and a big thank you to Ethans Grandma, Grandpop and Auntie for taking care of Ethan whilst we took time to reset.

Oh this sounds so wonderful, I have never been to a spa or had the spa experience because I didn't think it would be my thing, but having read this I want to be there now x

Looks beautiful there... Very jealous!! I think its important to have that alone time as a couple, we start losing who we are once we have children. So little breaks like that are perfect!! My only problem is that I hate leaving Beau anywhere haha... xx
