Anyway, I was going through my contractions and huffing and puffing to the sound of cheers outside my room. Seems the staff was watching the fetal monitor! Then my son was finally born and everyone was on cloud 9. The next day when I was taking a sitz bath, the construction team came for a visit and although I was behind the curtain, I was carrying on a conversation with them. The visual is making me giggle right now. So, I guess I would have to say my experience was one for the books!Melissahttp://www.loveaffairwithbaby.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4624303271642739916.post-63433304255135105402014-08-27T21:34:37.389+01:002014-08-27T21:34:37.389+01:00I had my baby in St.Marys Hospital,Paddington,Lond...I had my baby in St.Marys Hospital,Paddington,London. The level of care and professionalism was second to none and it's staff like this that keep the NHS going. They explained in depth what to expect as well as a tour around the SCBU. The special care staff were great and provided good support my only problems were emotional support upon arrive home three weeks later with a teeny baby and one not so nice midwife (I saw her once before giving birth and one home visit -- very pushy) emmahttp://livelovelearnfree.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4624303271642739916.post-33924385035400473242014-06-16T22:30:33.429+01:002014-06-16T22:30:33.429+01:00I had a terrible labour resulting in bypassing the...I had a terrible labour resulting in bypassing the birth centre and heading for a forceps delivery with an epidural...I'm a PI lawyer and all I could think about was all the claims I had dealt with for injuries to babies from such labours...not exactly relaxing!! That said we both came out A ok so I can't complain and although I didn't get the homebirth I had originally planned this was with hindsight a good thing as it saved us a mad dash in an ambulance to the hospital!@unpreparedmumhttp://adventuresofanunpreparedmother.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4624303271642739916.post-39647693162080655942014-06-14T09:20:57.326+01:002014-06-14T09:20:57.326+01:00I had an amazing experience with first one- epidur...I had an amazing experience with first one- epidural is an amazing thing! Not that good with second as it was to late for epidural and I had to deliver without painkiller and I wasn't prepared for that ;) Neither was my husband who got lots of scratches after the labour haha But in both cases my midwifes and staff were amazing, couldnt ask for better care and help with everything.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01472866821808013232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4624303271642739916.post-81209845117883936392014-06-10T09:43:07.254+01:002014-06-10T09:43:07.254+01:00I hope that when I have little one in December tha...I hope that when I have little one in December that I have a good experience<br />http://www.joannavictoria.co.uk/Joanna Victoria -x https://www.blogger.com/profile/05792107016815785027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4624303271642739916.post-90367595158880085252014-06-09T23:46:14.439+01:002014-06-09T23:46:14.439+01:00My experience was AWFUL. I was in a pretty bad way physically and emotionally, the hospital treated me as an inconvevience from day one, the consultant saw how mistreated I was and practically screamed at one midwife (who I never saw again). I was convinced I would die in their "care", yes really, I was that terrified I send myself text messages of their negligance so that when I died there would be evidence on my phone for my family to use! At one point I discharged myself because I felt it would be better for me to be away from there, I felt it was making me even more ill through stress :( I will never ever ever have another child, it's put me off for life. :(Hazel Christopherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04884661288966473530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4624303271642739916.post-31215701961156225612014-06-09T23:05:07.657+01:002014-06-09T23:05:07.657+01:00We had two homebirths, I was worried about a hospi...We had two homebirths, I was worried about a hospital experience but your experience sounds perfect xDonnahttp://redheadbabyled.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4624303271642739916.post-80468429196467267232014-06-09T20:18:42.623+01:002014-06-09T20:18:42.623+01:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.beautyqueenukhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17999507823528783542noreply@blogger.com
