Logan at 8 and 9 Months

Dear my sweet little Logan,

Last month totally ran away with itself and Mummy never got around to posting an update for you at 8 months, I'm sorry! You've just turned 9 months old and I can't believe what a cheeky, gorgeous, sweet little baby you are. In all honesty - I can't believe you're mine. Having your brother made me feel grateful and so lucky but getting to have you too makes me feel like I'm almost too lucky.

But don't get me wrong, looking after you and your bro' together isn't always smooth sailing, it's definitely sometimes challenging. Not that either of you are a challenge yourselves, it's just the juggle and learning how to combat the Mum guilt for when I can't be a hundred different people in one go. I try my best though and I try to make sure I even quality time out between you.

You're at an age where seemingly everything belongs to you, in that if you see something you absolutely have to pick it up and you also absolutely need to have a cheeky taste of it too! Ethan's often shouting 'No! Don't eat it!' when you grab something of his. You want everything - you've even tried to pick up the patterns on bed sheets before!

You are a great eater, which I love because right now you're brother SO isn't. I cook you up lots of different combos of meals and give you jars too. I'm not a cook whatsoever and sometimes I burn whatever it is I'm cooking, it was lentils last week and then pan is still sitting there with a totally black base! But for you my darling, I try! And you seem to like my trying.

You're starting to get a little active, you're not crawling yet, but you can move about a little. It's not quite bum shuffling, more like scooting yourself around in a circle in the same spot. You keep putting your arms and hands forward almost as if you're going to crawl, but you haven't yet mastered it. When we lay you down, you roll over instantly. You like being on your front and that's cool, but it can be quite a challenge to change your nappy! ;)

You like to make noises like 'Dada' and a general 'aaaahhh' scream/shout too, which really winds your brother up for some reason.. he's always shouting 'Stop it Logan' and Daddy and I can't help but giggle as it makes you do it more.

You and Ethan seem to admire each other despite his sometimes bossiness. I often catch Ethan stroking your hair or checking you whilst you sleep and he loves it when you're being cheeky - like the other day when I was trying to settle you both down for a nap on the sofa whilst the builders were upstairs - you couldn't stop giggling for some reason and then that set off Ethan.

I'm biased but I think you're absolutely gorgeous, you have a smile that just melts hearts and a laugh that is infectious. Tickling you brings out your best laugh and singing to you or showing you yourself in the mirror brings out your best smile.

You're showing so much more personality lately as you get older, your really are just the sweetest my little Logan Berry.. well you are until you get a bit hungry, because then like Mummy when she's hungry, you start to get a little bit fierce! ;)

I love you with all of my heart my beautiful little boy. All my love now and forever, Mummy. xx
