Feeding a One Year Old | The Weaning and Feeding Questionnaire

Weaning is an important time in our babies development for both us and our little ones. Discovering new foods and tastes together can be difficult but exciting!

Tesco have just released a brand new weaning survey and want to know about our weaning and feeding experiences with our babies. As a thank you they are offering the chance to win a £50 Tesco voucher. The survey is quick and easy and actually gets you thinking about what you're feeding your baby. And, of course, especially with the cost of living these days the chance to win a £50 voucher is a very nice incentive.

I've just completed it and I thought it would be fun and perhaps interesting to other Mums to share my own answers with you..

Have you encountered the dreaded ‘fussy eater’ stage yet?
      - We’re bang in the middle of that stage – eek!

Tell us what food your little one point-blank refuses to eat, such as sprouts, avocado or mushrooms?

It’s not all about food, you know! What does your little one drink during the day?
      - No-added sugar squash

Where’s the strangest place you’ve fed your baby? One of the Tesco Loves Baby Club team fed their toddler halfway up Mount Vesuvius! Can you beat that?
      - On a boat!

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you while feeding or weaning your baby? Baby rice in your hair at an important meeting? Spattering the people at the next table with mashed carrots?
      - Ethans sneezed his pureed food all over me!

Are there any weird or wacky flavour combinations that have been a surprise hit with your tot? Marmite and banana? Fish fingers and custard? (Thanks, Doctor Who!)
      - I can't think of any actually.

For your chance to win a £50 Tesco voucher fill out your answers to the survery HERE. And why not share them via your blog (if you have one) like I have . :)

      1. If Ethan is starting to be a little fussy, try letting him just feed himself. Darcie went through a faze around one and then I just decided to let her feed herself. Worked a treat! I think, for her anyway, they like to be in control almost like they are trying to establish independence. Maybe worth a try if you can stand the mess! xxx

      2. I enjoyed reading this survey Alex. It's always interesting to hear about other people's experiences of weaning and feeding! I've filled out the survey on my blog if you want to have a read:
